Trust & transparency

Editorial Policy

How Your PT creates, reviews, updates, and labels educational fitness and nutrition content.

Our standard

Your PT publishes educational content for generally healthy adults. We aim to make recommendations practical, accurately qualified, and traceable to appropriate evidence. Content does not replace individualized advice from a qualified clinician, dietitian, or coach.

Authors and reviewers

Articles are attributed to the Your PT Editorial Team unless a named author profile appears. We publish a named professional reviewer only after verifying their identity, relevant credential, and public professional profile. A “professionally reviewed” label appears only when that reviewer has reviewed that specific page on the stated date.

Evidence and references

For material claims in exercise, programming, and nutrition content, we prioritize primary research, systematic reviews, and position statements from recognized professional bodies. References are shown near claims or in a compact page-level list when they informed the content. We distinguish estimates and coaching heuristics from established findings.

Updates and independence

We revise pages when evidence, calculations, or user feedback warrants it. Meaningful changes receive an updated date. Commercial relationships do not determine our conclusions; any material sponsorship or affiliate relationship will be disclosed on the relevant page.
